Christian Thompson was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and is interested in words, people, and bicycles. He fostered all three interests in college, captaining the school’s cycling team while studying political theory and performing in several theatrical productions. He has worked for several years as a test-prep and academic subject tutor, and he currently writes album reviews for Tiny Mix Tapes, a website dedicated to film and music. A recent college graduate, he is in the process of expanding his reading material beyond political commentary, historical non-fiction, and Ikea instruction manuals. His favorite punctuation mark is the suspended hyphen.
