Sarah’s favorite books as a child included Blueberries for Sal, The Boxcar Children, and Strunk & White’s Elements of Style. After majoring in English at Carleton College, she studied dentistry for four years but ultimately returned to reading and writing. Her fiction and nonfiction writing has appeared in a number of magazines and newspapers since 2005, and her poetry appeared recently in Zephyr Press. She has served as Editor of Grand Valley Magazine and taught Composition for five years at Minnesota State University, Mankato.
